The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation is pleased to announce its Fall 2021 Enriching Communities grant funding decisions, totaling more than $800,000 and supporting 116 nonprofits and community-based initiatives throughout the region.

This round of grants is part of the Community Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking program and supports a wide range of activities that keep our communities vibrant and strong, while supporting nonprofits recovery from COVID-19 and furthering community-based initiatives that help build a more accessible, equitable, and sustainable region.

The Fund supported a wide range of organizations this cycle, including racial equity, food and housing insecurity, environmental initiatives, the arts, and programming for youth and marginalized communities. As always, funding priority was given to organizations impacting lives in the City of Charlottesville and the Counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson, and Orange.
