Red Light Management and Ting Internet have announced that, for the first time ever, the iconic Ting Pavilion has been equipped with a free public internet network, capable of simultaneously providing over 4,000 guests with fast, uninterrupted WiFi.

Ting Internet, a division of Tucows (NASDAQ: TCX, TSX: TC), has been a proud member of the Charlottesville, Virginia community since 2014 and recently partnered with Red Light Management to rename the Ting Pavilion. As part of this partnership, Ting Internet requested that they install a free public WiFi network in the venue, ultimately bringing internet access to any visitor in the downtown core.

“At Ting, we are truly proud members of this community and we’re thrilled to be able to offer the downtown community free WiFi access at the Ting Pavillion,” said Kara Chandeysson, City Manager, Ting Internet. “Access to our fiber internet will elevate the guest experience for anyone visiting the Downtown Mall, which is especially important as our city begins to reopen.”

The WiFi network has been installed throughout the entire Pavilion, allowing guests to access high speed internet anywhere on-site.

“Free, reliable internet is something that will surely take our guest experience to the next level,” said Kirby Hutto, General Manager of the Ting Pavilion. “From concerts to shows, having high-speed internet will allow visitors to share their photos and videos in real-time without any delays. Better yet, it allows us to give back to the broader Charlottesville community and allow visitors in the Downtown Mall to log onto our network for anything they may need.”
