Libby Edwards-Allbaugh is a busy woman. The founder and owner of The Tax Ladies, Inc., a bookkeeping and tax preparation firm, Libby also Chairs Women United in Philanthropy, serves as Treasurer for the Black Women of Central Virginia, Treasurer for the Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline , and serves on the Boards of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation and the Black Empowerment Coalition- all while running a very successful business. She is very committed to making the Greater Charlottesville community a better and more equitable place- and having an easy way to make community connections makes that work easier.

“I do have a lot going on,” she says with a laugh, “But I love to be involved in our community and connected to the organizations that make this a better place. ReImagineCVA.org is a really great way for me to find ways to get involved, and for the organizations that I care about to connect with people who want to help. You can explore by Causes, Places to Help, Ways to Help, Items Needed, or even by BIPOC Led or Founded Organizations. If you have special skills to share, ReImagineCVA can connect you directly with the United Way’s volunteer registration site to do that. Check it out – it’s also a great way just to learn what’s happening in our community.”

ReImagineCVA.org is designed to be a resource that informs the community of all the different ways to become involved with the social sector, driving board members and volunteers to where they are needed and connecting donors to the causes and initiatives that need their support. As a free and widely accessible digital tool, ReImagineCVA can help strengthen the community’s understanding of the critical work of nonprofits in our region and help all community members find tangible ways to make a difference – whether through donating dollars and items or volunteering time and skills.

“It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned volunteer or donor, or if you are just curious about how you can get involved in the community, or if you are an organization that wants to get the word out about what you do. ReImagineCVA.org is a great resource.”
