Greetings! I am the Executive Director of Charlottesville Tomorrow, a local news organization committed to providing readers the context, awareness and consciousness they need to become better neighbors and citizens. I grew up in Washington D.C. and spent my early career as a school teacher in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, a community organizer in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, and a nonprofit program manager in Dorchester, Massachusetts Those experiences gave me insight into how local news coverage impacts the lives of communities, even when their voices get left out of the conversationI have spent the last 15 years in various roles in journalism and nonprofit management. My job at Charlottesville Tomorrow is to create a business model that supports our plans to grow our impact on more of the people who live in and around this city, and to value journalists and the community.
