ReimagineCVA enthusiastically joins with our LGBTQI+ partners and friends to celebrate Pride Month, an important opportunity to recognize and applaud the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally. Pride gatherings are rooted in the arduous history of minority groups who have struggled for decades to overcome prejudice and be accepted for who they are.

This month, we honor the resilience of LGBTQI+ people, who are fighting to live authentically and freely, and we remind the LGBTQI+ community that they are loved and cherished.  We also reaffirm our belief that LGBTQI+ rights are human rights, and we recommit to supporting protections, safety, and equality to LGBTQI+ families.

June is a great time to translate commitment to equality and social justice into concrete action to support critical work in our local communities, and ReImagineCVA is the perfect tool to help you connect and get involved today.

As our environment continues to grapple with the pandemic and social inequities arising from institutional racism, we invite you to honor Pride month as a time to reimagine the ways we can connect nonprofits, volunteers, donors, and the community to one another in the Central Virginia region. ReImagineCVA is THE place for learning about and engaging with nonprofits and community organizations doing important work in Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Orange.

ReImagineCVA informs the community of all the different ways to become involved with the social sector, driving board members and volunteers to where they are needed and connecting donors to the causes and initiatives that need their support. Over 40 organizations dedicated to equality and social justice are linked to the ReImagineCVA site, with multiple opportunities to provide support and engage with the causes that mean most to you.
