GivingTuesday is meant to be a day that encourages people to do good, and it intentionally takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to “promote generosity and counter the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday” as noted by the Chronicle of Philanthropy.

Since its creation in 2012, GivingTuesday has evolved into a global movement where passionate individuals all across the world can lean into the spirit of generosity and support their favorite nonprofits.

You too can participate in GivingTuesday, and with ReImagineCVA it’s even easier to find a local nonprofit to support. Whether you’re new to GivingTuesday or are a long-time donor, ReImagineCVA is the place to visit to learn about the many nonprofits engaged in important community-building work and how you can make a difference by giving to them.

Interested in supporting a specific cause but unsure where to go? ReImagineCVA has a list of over 280 local nonprofits searchable by cause and mission focus. Are you interested in supporting area nonprofits that are founded and/or led by Leaders of Color? ReImagineCVA can help with this list of BIPOC founded/led organizations.
